It’s not their real names. The tiger’s name is Vallejo Akaasha which is Californian for Tony. The dolphin’s name is Maverick which is Californian for Flipper.

The two characters met at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California.

Flipper spoke to Tiger – see the bubbles?

Tony waved back.

Both acknowledged that there was not much of a conversation going to happen.

But, if there were a conversation -

Flipper, “Hey Tony. Eat your heart out. You can’t swim like me.”

Tony, “Yeah, but if they’d let me in that pool with you I’d either eat you or have you jumping through this hoop to stay alive.”

Flipper, “But, you ain’t in here, and if you were, my buddy and I’d flip the stripes off you and lay you down as a rug. Who’s got a chain on them and who gets to go free, huh?”
