Seriously. Cameron Diaz is the new celebrity face for the environment. So, I went looking to see what else the pretty lady has done for our home – planet Earth.

Here’s what I learned -

  1. She drives a Prius.
  2. She is politically outspoken and dedicated to sustainable living.
  3. She recycles – “If it’s yellow leave it mellow, if it’s brown flush it down”
  4. She uses offsets for carbon neutral travel
  5. She is mindful of choosing beneficial products, like those that contain recycled materials.
  6. She actively participated In Al Gore’s slideshow training by asking questions and staying around for evening events with the others.
  7. She participated in the initiative Save Our Selves (SOS) – The Campaign for a Climate in Crisis.

    8. “If [everyone] just changed one aspect of their life, if they just did one thing differently, that alone is a step closer to solving the problem,” says Diaz of the message the group is trying to deliver. “This problem can be solved.”

  8. Cameron participated in the MTV program ECO Trippin.
  9. She attracts green meaningful gossip – “In a feature on ABC News, Diaz spoke about the need for people to invest in green living and not just hop on board because it happens to be popular right now.”
  10. Cam is a member of the Environmental Media Association and has filmed public service announcements, with fellow greenie Gwyneth Paltrow, about the importance of conserving energy.

Now … can we get her a topless Prius?
