Are any of the 12 Chinese New Year/Zodiac Animals on the endangered species list?
Greenpacks is not the only folk that love animals. The Chinese do, too. And since I (Bill) have an interest in China, I thought I’d introduce them here and answer one question.

Here are the 12 New Year/Zodiac animals -
Rat – 1972 and all multiples of 12 before and after that. Same for all animals.
Ox (Water buffalo) – 1973 – Did you see what those water buffalo did to the lion and alligators? 44 million other folk watched it. Makes you want to be a water buffalo, eh?
Tiger – 1974 – My younger boy is indeed a real tiger.
Rabbit (Cat in Vietnam) -1975 -
Dragon (Snail in Kazakhstan) – 1976 Take your pick. Would you rather be born in the year of the Dragon or the year of the snail.
Snake – 1977 – Evil folks this bunch is.
Horse – 1978 – That’s me!
Ram (Goat in Vietnam) – 1979 – gives new meaning to ‘he was the real goat.’
Monkey – 1980 – About 1/12th of the world’s population has had a monkey made out of them
Rooster (Cock) – 1981 – Imagine telling someone you were born in the year of the Cock.
Dog – 1982 – These folk enjoy being in the dog house.
Pig (Wild boar in Japan)- 1983 – This was my ex-wife. Uh, no comment.
So, the question – are any of these animals on the endangered species list? No … not yet. And we hope never.
