I have kept my eye on NY state&#039;s renewable energy construction for a while.  I don&#039;t think NY State can reach 45% renewalbe energy by 2015.  The solar PV won&#039;t give much help on the % increase of renewables.  And we do not know the electric impact when more than 30% of unstable wind power feeds into the core grid.
Without the basic engineer understanding of system impact, to make such a high percentage of renewable energy, it seems too optmistic to me.

		<description>We need more aggressive goals like this... if we&#039;re to reach energy independence.  It would be nice to surpass these goals if possible.</description>
