MotoCzysz E1pc– The new iPhone release has certainly created a lot of hubbub in the gadget world but the world of mean green machines isn’t spared either. While we are utterly pleased to know about an all-electric motorcycle participating in the TTXGP race this Friday, what makes it special is its dashboard — thoroughly integrated iPhone.

Confused as we are, it is difficult to understand how all the functions of the dash are relayed through an iPhone (definitely there are no applications available), the only reasonable conclusion being that of the GPS usage.

We may not be right about our estimates of the worst polluting commuters, at least I wasn’t, with the airplane topping my list. A study conducted by Mikhail Chester and Arpath Hovard of the University of California, Berkeley, has revealed that all our assumptions aren’t correct and it is the train not the plane that causes maximum damage.

The study took into consideration aspects that we never thought of before, comparing 11 modes of transportation on an equal footing. The comparison is well drawn as it considers the pollution created by factories whilst manufacturing the commuters, the distance traveled in the lifetime and even the number of passengers on each commuter in a lifetime.

The Wyoming Sideways Tornado- Tornadoes have always captivated weather enthusiasts because we strive to understand those amazing funnel clouds and the way they form. For researchers and those who have a passion for such things, a bunch of brave guys managed to capture the Wyoming Tornado on video and to take amazing pictures. It’s a pretty wicked tornado that suddenly turned sideways so that you can actually see its “eye”.

Houston Dome – The fourth-largest city in the United States and the largest city in Texas, Houston is vulnerable to killer hurricanes, extreme heat and other natural disasters. And the problem is only getting worse as the city is forced to spend a fortune in a losing battle against nature. Hence why a team of engineers decided that the most viable solution for the moment is to “move the city indoors”.

The Coca Cola, Pepsi war is nothing new but, this time it brings a smile to our face for the reason is very ‘green’.  Coca  Cola has launched a new drink-green tea Coke- to counter the stiff competition Coke faces from non-carbonated drinks in Japan. Also dubbed the Coca-Cola plus Catechin, this new drink contains tea antioxidants called catechins and leaves a slight green tea taste upon consumption.

With the alternative fuels hype going on, the debate for a better choice between hydrogen and methanol is on and whoever would be the winner, it would benefit the mankind either ways. The ecologists have re-instated their faith in methanol based on the fact that making hydrogen commonly available as a fuel is a tough deal.
