Environmentalists had objected the roof top helipad plan, saying  noise pollution would violate laws of the Environment Protection Act, 1986. The MCZMA took up the issue on Aug 24 after which the plan  was cleared.

“The helipad has been granted clearance by the Authority,” Environment Secretary Valsa Nair Singh said.

“It is good that the helipad plan has been cleared. The government must think of having helipads atop hospitals now.” A Reliance official.
