I have heard tales of long-distance truck drivers relieving themselves in gallon milk jugs instead of stopping for a restroom break.  Sometimes they have been thrown out the window instead of stopping for proper disposal.  Now there is a solution to eliminate this potential biohazard road litter in addition to reducing your vehicles NOx emissions.

You don’t even need to buy the special Mazda, which is only available Down Under.  Here are your do it yourself instructions with a caveat: performing the modifications will void your catalytic convertor and muffler warranties, void your vehicle warranty and may also  get you thrown in jail.  You may also be in violation of a lot of state laws, particularly in California.

Securely mount a funnel in the space between the drivers leg area on some type of gooseneck (try a microphone gooseneck). Drill a hole into either the catalytic converter or muffler on the end facing the engine (the Catalytic converter is preferable).  Mount a one-way valve on the converter or muffler with the flow indicator pointing toward the exhaust system.  Mount an electric pump on the underneath of the vehicle away from the hot exhaust system.  Put a switch mounted on the dash labeled “Wee” between the battery fuse block power and the pump.  Run a very-high-temperature tube from the funnel to the electric pump and another very-high-temperature tube.  Make sure all connections are totally sealed as you do not want to get CO2 poisoning.

To use the system, just turn on the Wee switch and wee to your hearts content.  Some states, like California, require hands-free operation.  Remember to turn off the switch when you are done.

You now have reduced the Nitrous Oxides (NOx) and saved a water-wasting flush on a toilet.  You will be proud that you improved air quality and conserved water at the same time.  You also saved your urea from joining the fish wee and whale poop in the ocean.

If you own a Mazda, just wee in the AdBlue tank.  You can also get the whole family to participate by collecting urine and topping off the AdBlue tank every day.

Urine is a urea/water mixture with a few other trace chemicals and is 100% organic.  It is also similar to the $140 refill the Mazda dealer will charge.

Just pee while you drive and save the environment as well as your money.
