Aeronautics and Fashion may be world’s apart, but they come together seamlessly in the work of former aeronautic engineer and present fashion designer Renee Corrick. She gave up aeronautic engineering and after taking some classes in Australia and at Seattle’s New York Fashion Academy, Renee became a full-fledged apparel designer.

Looking at the LEED Silver building, or the Koll Airport Professional Center it would be difficult to believe that this was once an industrial building. The old building wasn’t razed to the ground to build this one, in fact, LPA Inc., which was hired by the Koll Company, has transformed the old building giving it a new look.

NASA Ares I-X rocketNASA’s  new Ares I-X  test rocket is on the launch pad at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, in preparation for its debut launch scheduled for October 27.

The Ares I-X  is a prototype for the Ares 1 rocket NASA plans to use to launch its shuttle successor, the Orion spacecraft. The flight test will provide NASA with an opportunity to test and prove flight characteristics, hardware, facilities and ground operations associated with the Ares I.

When completed in 2014, the Lotte Super Tower 123 will be the tallest building in Asia, and the second tallest in the world. A project of the Lotte Group, the tower will hold the company’s headquarters, and will be built by Lotte Construction, a subsidiary of the Lotte Group.

The Volkswagen Pholeum concept from designer Alexei Mikhailov is inspired by the living plant cell tissue system. It is designed as a personal mobility unit, with room for just one person. The concept offers mobility and motorcycle-like travel, while taking a chariot form for seating. Wheels placed out of the body add to its looks and allow it to maneuver in any direction.

Electric cars have been hailed as the modern, non-polluting vehicles, but it’s too early to shower them with all the praise, say scientists. In fact, if things don’t change dramatically, electric vehicles may not be very green even in 2030. The problem of course doesn’t lie entirely in the zero-emission electric cars, it has more to do with the generation of electricity for the vehicles.
