Water, as we all know is a resource that merits having every single drop saved. It is, after all, the basis of all life and experts are even predicting that the shortage of water in the future could lead to serious trouble and even wars. That aside, saving water is common sense, and there are many structures that could lend themselves very well for uses like rain water harvesting; that in fact, could provide potable water to a number of people.

Designer Ramesh Kanth’s Eco Bus Shelter concept, adds a new twist to the bus shelter structure. Most of the bus shelters around the world are in open spaces and in a good position to feel the elements of weather. While many designs have already discussed harnessing solar energy using the bus shelters, this design talks about using them for rain water harvesting.

Regions with suitable conditions could employ a number of such clean technologies, converting the bland bus shelters into sources of clean energy, and at other places, into sources of fresh water.
