The popularity of electric bikes is all set for a rise and shine especially when mobility gets difficult due to space congestion and increasing vehicular traffic on the road. Volkswagen recently revealed its two-wheeled electric bike at Auto China 2010.
The sleek and slender looking bicycle has been named as bike.e. The bike.e has a range of 12.5 miles and a top speed of 12.5 mp, which is the fastest speed allowed by electric vehicles for passengers to go without helmets in Germany. Interestingly this bike is foldable and can be collapsed down to the size of a spare tire, thus doing away with all your parking worries.
According to Volkswagen, the bik.e is truly a mobility enhancer and can be replenished by a vehicle’s DC current.
