Lenovo may have missed out on the Earth Day for the release of its ThinkPad L Series laptops but the company has definitely been able to find an alternative for the eco-conscious professionals in the make.
According to Lenovo, the first two ThinkPad L models, the 14-inch L412 and 15-inch L512 are the greenest ever made. A claim based on the fact that, not only are these laptops more energy efficient than their counterparts elsewhere but also that its various parts like the LCD cover, palm rests and top/bottom case are all made from recycled office water jugs and miscellaneous used equipment. The ThinkPad L Series will be available with the Intel Core i3 or i5 processors, along with the Intel integrated or ATI Radeon graphics. Available starting mid-May with a base price of $649 Lenovo’s eco laptops come equipped with a Celeron P4500 CPU, 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, web camera, Bluetooth, 3G/4G wireless connectivity options, and Windows 7 OS.
