BMW Eco-friendly Cars to Drive into Korea Next Year

German carmaker BMW has launched its eco-friendly The hybrid cars in Korea with the promise of a roll out  in the coming year. The 320d Efficient Dynamics edition was unveiled during an event in Korea, with the range including two new hybrid electric vehicles namely ActiveHybrid 7 and ActiveHybrid X6.

The environment-friendly vehicles emit only 109 grams of carbon-di-oxide per kilometer traveled. It requires an average of 4.1 litres of fuel for a distance of 100 kilometers, which is about 24.4 km per liter. The vehicles will be the most fuel efficient ever on Korean roads.

The ActiveHybrid X6 is fitted with a 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine and two electric motors.. The BMW ActiveHybrid 7 is fitted with a 4.4-liter, V8 engine and electric motor.

The local price of the ActiveHybrid X6 is set at 153.8 million won ($130,380) and the ActiveHybrid 7 starts at 198.6 million won ($168,360).
