The eco-friendly Tennessee golf resort owned by entertainer Justin Timberlake has been reopened. Reports say the musician has spent a fortune in the green makeover. The luxury resort in Mirimichi was closed down in January by Timberlake, and work was done on improving the golf course’s greens, irrigation systems and bunkers.
Reports say that work was also done on expanding the wetlands, wildflowers and native grasses of the area.
The property was relaunched on September 6. Justin Timberalake has received an honor from the Gold Environment Organization, which is on display at the resort.
The honor was accorded to Mirimichi in April for being the first green golf course in America.
Timberlake and his family bought the property, which was formerly known as Big Creek Golf Course, in 2007 and had initially spent $16 million on renovating the 18 holes.
