Renowned actor and environment enthusiast Adrian Grenier has teamed up with apparel company Nautica to design eco-friendly T-shirt. The two will launch a limited edition 100 percent organic T-shirt line. The apparel item is available to purchase online and retails for $25. It also features an anchor.
The motive behind the initiative is to benefit Oceana, the non-profit organization for ocean conservation.100 percent of the profits will be donated to Oceana. Grenier was recently spotted participating in a program organized by Oceana which comprised of swimming sessions to observe blue fin tuna in the ocean and the actor on behalf of GQ magazine as its Gentlemen’s Fund ambassador.
Other eco-friendly celebrities on the fray that help support the organization include Sting, Ted Danson, January Jones and Morgan Freeman. Oceana has been around since 2001, and is the largest international organization focused solely on ocean conservation, with projects in over 150 countries to date.
Grenier refers to the venture as delighting and says “I find it to be a really fulfilling experience when you’re getting your hands dirty and you’re participating as opposed to just sitting back idly and watching it all go by you”.
Earlier, in 2008, the actor was involved in launching a show titled ‘Alter Eco TV’ on Planet Green and the program featured better, sustainable and more ecological methods to transform living spaces using eco-lovable products.
