Woolrich a.k.a. the Original Outdoor Clothing Company in association with Agion, forerunners in odor-fighting solutions have lined up outerwear that eliminates body odor passively without the need for washing.

The apparels will offer double protection, with anti microbial protection and industry trusted odor-elimination. Agion’s silver ion technology prohibits the odor causing bacteria and a natural odor-trapping solution picks up ambient odor molecules. These clothes will offer the same protection even after prolonged wearing or washing.

Agion claims that they use very little silver and also it is not nanoparticles that they use, answering concerns that silver nanoparticles can harm plant life. Cyndy Hunter says that the technology uses controlled releases of minute quantities of silver which is chemically inert after released.

Apart from the anti-stink properties the garments are soft and comfortable, help maintain warmth in all conditions, have good moisture wicking properties, quickly dries and offer UPF 40+ protection. These are made of 50/50 polyester and Merino blend, men’s range include Territory crew and half zip shirts while for women poly Merino half zip and vee neck shirts are available.

Agion has its presence in medical devices such as catheters and also in preserving food and water to mobile phones, keyboards, shoes etc.

Woolrich is an authentic American brand and produces functional, comfortable and durable men’s and women’s sportswear and outerwear. In 2010 Woolrich celebrated its 180th anniversary.

The apparels will be on sale in select outlets and Woolrich.com in Fall 2011, prices may fall between $59-$69.
