The new smartphone from Umeox that has been unveiled at the Mobile World Congress currently on at Barcelona comes about as unique in various aspects. For us, the most striking aspect of the device is that it is eco-friendly to the core. The newly introduced Apollo Cell Phone which runs the Android OS is equipped with an array of solar panels emblazoned on its back that serves as the solution.

The major features of the device are as follows: The Apollo features a 3.2-inch 320×480 display screen and a 3 megapixel rear camera. It offers 1GB of storage. The other features of the phone include a microSD card slot, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Well, Apollo Android phone will apparently becomes the first solar phone to make it to mass production. It will soon be made available for sale across the globe. It is learnt the device takes 17 hours in the sun to get fully charged. The Apollo solar charged Android Cell Phone is likely to ship in a few months’ time.
