The Frankfurt Auto Show is just round the corner and the Jaguar C-X16 hybrid concept is all set for a complete unveiling. But it seems the concept car cannot wait to show off, at least in a video, ahead of the event.
The two-seater C-X16 is fitted with a 3.0 liter V6 engine of 375 horsepower and an electric motor of 92 HP which is integrated into the stylish coupe’s eight-speed gearbox.
This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.3 seconds. The concept has a top speed of 186 mph. The motor generator draws power from a 1.6 kWh lithium ion unit mounted behind the seats for ideal 50: 05 weight distribution.
Jaguar says that the hybrid concept emits 165 grams per kilometer of CO2 and hits up to 50 mph in electric-only mode.
The interior of the car is packed with futuristic technologies such as multimodal rotary controls that incorporate miniature OLED screens. They reconfigure to reflect the different functions that can be performed via the controls, which are designed for maximum compatibility between sports car needs and also take into account energy conservation aspects.
More details and pictures will come right after the C-X16 debuts at the Frankfurt Auto Show. Check out the video for now.
