Year 2013 could dawn with the news that the Lincoln MKZ is selling at unbelievable rates and roads are filled with them. Of course we are talking of the hybrid electric version of the Lincoln MKZ from Ford, which they are working on right now.
Ford guarantees that if the model clicks among the public, they will mass produce the vehicle and also they will introduce variants for it. The 2013 MKZ will be including gas powered hybrid versions as well.
Ford is proudly showing off their next-generation Fusion, touting that it not only will have a hybrid version, but also a plug-in version that is expected to top the Chevrolet Volt’s mileage.
Ford is working on the MKZ in addition to this. The sales figures for Ford’s first Lincoln Hybrid in the 2010 and 2011 are pretty reassuring the huge number of sales the coming models will be having.
The current MKZ hybrid that features a 2.5-litre, 4 cylinder gas engine with an electric motor achieves a combined 39 miles per gallon combined. That’s almost double the 21 mpg combined that the conventional six-cylinder MKZ provides us.
