Toyota has been rolling out mean machines for the last 80 years and there hasn’t been any single failure yet for this automotive giant. The latest car from the dream company is the NS4 plug-in hybrid, which is an outcome of many years of work. And, believe it or not, it is a class above all the cars of the same segment.
The company has said the new NS4 power-train targets theHybrid Synergy Driveplug-in system featuring an improved fuel economy, better acceleration and all-electric range with maintained short charge time.
As company president and Chief Operating Officer Jim Lentz has stated, in this digital age, cars are becoming another spoke in the wheel of the electronic connectivity.
The new NS4 concept comes with a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) that is capable of tracking the driver preferences and habits that will influence responses of driver in specific environments and situations and its ultra thin A-pillars improve the visibility.
The hybrid’s inner and outer rear view mirrors replaced with cameras and the Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system which will enable the driver a rear view displayed on the dashboard mounted screen above the navigation screen.
The NS4 also features a new Pre-Collision System (PCS) which predicts and helps to avoid the collisions under certain circumstances and its Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) headlights will improve the visibility during nights.
