iBamboo Speaker Docks Going Plastic
Anatoliy Omelchenko of Triangle Tree, the manufacturers and designers of the original iBamboo speaker dock, have unveiled a new line of speaker docks called the Urban. The most significant aspect about them are that they are created from recycled plastic. Mass production hasn’t been started yet, but soon will.

The iBamboo works in the same way as many non-powered iPod and iPhone speakers. It simply amplifies the sound by letting it reverberate off the walls of the bamboo and out of two different ends, creating a stereo effect.
The bamboo itself produces a natural resonance that amplifies the sound of the built-in iPhone speaker.
The sound won’t be anything great. There are no EQ controls or anything, but it will allow your iPhone to play its music a little more loudly.
Now with the recycled plastic version of the above mentioned speaker, there rises a question in everyone’s mind about whether it is green or not. The recycling of plastic is a good thing and everybody appreciates it.
But using plastic is still not a nice thing to do now as all over the world, people are trying to reduce the use of plastic wherever they can.
Manufacturers are waiting for the public to respond and according to that, they will be producing these. If the public won’t favour it, the bamboo version will prevail.
