As you all know,Toyota has been under pressure to launch a cheaper version of the famous Prius for some time now. And, you also know that folks at the automaker’s assembly line were lenient enough to come up with a solution. The latest is that the model is coming. Toyota will unwrap their Yaris Hybrid in Geneva.
Yaris’s base model will be priced at a quite attractive tag of $22,410. The Yaris Hybrid will deliver 98 horse powers similar to the American market Prius c and will be powered by a 1.5L, VVT-i engine combined with an electric motor.
It is expected to be the most fuel efficient vehicle with a combustion engine in the German market.
The nearest upgrade will be made available for a price tag of $23,675 and would add Toyota Touch multimedia audio system, ECO-Drive monitor, rearview camera, Bluetooth, steering wheel controls, aux and USB input with iPod control.
The interior upgrades include a leather steering wheel and shift knob, two-way adjustable luggage compartment floor, while the rear taillights get LEDs. The car will come with 16-inch wheels, engine start/stop, fog lights, roof spoiler, heated mirrors, electric rear windows, glove compartment with cooling function, and a height adjustable front seat.
Pricing starts at $25,400. June 16 will mark the start of booking and this vehicle is expected to top the sales the coming quarter.
