CODA EV Roll Out On Schedule; First Unit Delivered

As promised earlier, Coda Automotive has delivered the first of the company’s electric cars on schedule. The milestone was marked with a series of events at Coda dealerships in San Diego and San Jose, as well as the  Coda Experience Centerin Century City.

The first CODA owner in Northern California is Randy of Redwood City, a pilot with a dedicated interest for technology. CODA Executive Chairman Mac Heller and President of Del Grande Dealer Group, Shaun Del Grande provided a silver CODA to the new EV owner.

The new 2012 CODA is the first all-electric five-passenger, mid-size sedan with full rear seating. Its trunk space meets American drivers’ daily transportation needs without a drop of gasoline.

The 31kWh 2012 CODA mileage vehicle features 88 miles per charge.   Depending on driving habits, it can be driven up to 125 miles on a single charge. The 31kWh 2012 CODA has an MSRP of $37,250, and can go up to 125 miles on a single charge.

In California, federal and individual state tax saving and credits may bring the price down to $27,250. An unbeatable 6.6kW onboard charging capability provides a full charge in about six hours on 240 V.

The active thermal management system provides constant battery care by keeping the battery pack at its optimum temperature in hot and cold weather conditions.

The electric vehicle sedan is powered by an efficient Lithium-iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery pack with an industry leading 10-year, 100,000-mile limited battery warranty.

All early reservation holders were selected based on the vehicle specifications they requested and will automatically receive a numbered plaque located on the center console and custom key chain. To show that the EVs are among the first CODAs to hit the road, the first 500 retail vehicles come with limited edition features.
