For the past few months, people at Acura have been busy on what seems to be work related to building an automotive beast that is powerful as well as gorgeous at the same time. The result is a car named RLX, which of course incorporates an extra letter signifying the modifications they have undergone with the RL model.
Acura’s next flagship sedan will likely be called RLX, and is expected to debut at the coming New York auto show. Employing an array of new Acura technologies, including the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD system, the concept vehicle will be delivering an entirely new level of excellence and will be obsessed with quality.
A V6 hybrid engine will power the front wheels while the system will take advantage of a pair of electric motors individually powering each rear wheel.
The entire setup will be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and will result in the performance of a V8, with the fuel economy of a four-cylinder.
There are no words on what the price or mileage of this car will be. But there are speculations that this will be having a price similar to the new civic models from Honda.
As with the specifications department, Acura has a strong foot hold and they don’t want to give themselves a hard time with increased prices than its competitors.
