Audi E-bike Debut Soon; Smartphone Used for Electronic Control

You might get to have a first look at the Audi’s new e-bike prototype in a few days from now. The model will get unveiled at Wörthersee in Carinthia, Austria. During the demo, the bike’s performance and other features are expected to be discussed in detail.

Biker Julien Dupont and downhill specialist Petra Bernhard is all set to showcase their stunts and biking skills during the debut of the prototype.

Well, what that makes the design really special is something else! The bike uses a smartphone for its electronic control system. The ‘smartphone’ control system enables five cycling modes namely Pure, Pedelec, eGrip, Power Wheelie, and Balanced Wheelie.

The e-bike will have all those Audi core features, assembled at its best. It promises to be a high performance bike meant for sports and trick cycling.

The bike has a 2.3 kW electric motor, accelerating 184 lb-ft. of torque to the rear wheel. The 26-inch wheels of the vehicle feature “Audi ultra blade” design. It uses a lithium-ion battery, which takes only 2.5 hours to get charged completely.
