With more modified specs and performance-oriented features, here comes Mitsubishi’s i-MiEV Evolution. The model is actually a performance version of i-MiEV electric car that was released last year by the company.
With the new model, the Japanese carmaker is gearing up for the annual Pile Peak Hill Climb. The competition will be held on July 8, and the car would be competing in the electric cars’ segment.
Major modifications the model has undergone include a completely new carbon fibre body and three electric motors of 80 kilowatt. Two of these electric motors are placed at the rear and one at the front.
The i-MiEV Evolution is based on a stock i-MiEV and the automobile is equipped with a 35 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack. It is learnt that i- MiEV will take part in the race as well. It would use a single 49 kilowatt motor on the rear wheels, powered by a 16 kilowatt-hour battery pack for the race.
