Volkswagen has announced the pricing details of the diesel variant of its Beetle 2013 model. The official price of the vehicle is $23,295, exclusive of the $770 destination charge.
The Beetle TDI was launched last year. The vehicle is the third model in the Beetle line-up. It comes with a 2.5-liter five-cylinder and is a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline model. Direct-injection clean diesel engine of the model produces 140 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque.
The line-up also includes two higher versions. One is a Sunroof model equipped with Volkswagen’s Premium VIII radio and is priced at $24,895. The other one is a ‘roof and navigation’ type with premium Fender audio system. It is priced at $26,195.
Beetle has thrown in six-speed manual transmission into the vehicles. A six-speed automatic transmission is available with all the three trim level versions for an additional $1,100.
