Fisker Automotive’s global sustainability program is getting a brush of star dust. The company has roped in actor Leonardo DiCaprio to promote its new project and commitment in reducing the carbon footprints.
DiCaprio, who is also an equity investor in Fisker, will participate in the conversations on the company’s future plans for the advancement and promotion of eco-friendly auto concepts.
Through the actor, the automaker aims at garnering more attention to sustainability and environmental awareness.
This partnership deal will in turn be a support for Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation. Fisker Automotive uses renewable materials and alternative technologies to lower the environmental impact in its productions.
The Fisker Karma, the company’s first car follows the company’s sustainable and accountable design concept of the company.
The sedan uses reclaimed and recycled interior wood trim exported from California wildfires or from the depths of Lake Michigan. It also features animal-free interiors on the top-line Eco Chic model and “Diamond Dust” paint which is made from flakes of recycled glass.
