TOMS Designs ‘Shark Shoes’ to Help Protect Sharks
‘Shark Shoes’ might sound like a pair of shoes to protect swimmers from shark attacks. But it is the other way round. These shoes are part of a project to protect the species.
Shoe manufacturer TOMS and RJ Dunlap Marine Conservation Program at the University of Miami have come up with a new program to help protect the species. The company has designed the new Shark Shoes and the proceeds from the sale of these shoes to shark conservation.
The design of these new shoes is based on Northeastern nautical wear. It would be produced in the limited editions. Shark Shoe, designed for both men and women is lined with linear shark silhouettes, emphasizing its cause. The design features a madras pattern as a whole.
TOMS, founded six years ago, is no stranger to philanthropy. It was founded on a principle that for every pair of shoes it sells, a pair would be given to a child in need.
The Shark Shoe Vegan Classics range comes with a price tag of $54. You may get them at TOMS showrooms.
