Ford C-Max Hybrid Gets 47 MPG EPA Rating

Ford C-Max Hybrid has been awarded with an even 47 MPG in both city and highway driving in the EPA rating. Thus C-Max has become the first hybrid to be considered as a provident auto in city as well as on highways.

Thus Ford has also beaten its direct competitor the Toyota Prius V. Prius V was awarded an EPA rating of 44 MPG in city and 40 MPG on highway.C-Max Energi’s EV Mode allows a speed of 85 MPH. The mode is in the plug-in version, and the mode is possible with the touch of a button. It is ahead of the top speed of Prius plug-in by 20 mph.

Three EV modes are provided, namely auto mode, now mode and later mode. The vehicle automatically takes advantage of plug-in charge when it is put in the auto mode. It operates in the full hybrid method, when the charge is completely exhausted.C-Max operates in EV mode using the plug-in power in the now mode. It also activates along with a special Manage EV screen to monitor the functionality. Later mode , as the name suggests, saves plug-in power for later use..
