UK Consumers’ Preference for EVs Revealed in Survey

Did you know British consumers spend a good deal of time talking about buying electric cars?  A majority of UK consumers accept the idea of buying an electric vehicle, according to Motor Trader and British Gas.

Going by the survey findings, around one-third of consumers prefer to buy electric vehicles. Another third would want to go for an electric-drive car if they get to have more info on the EV.

If these numbers were to bear fruit, EVs could account for five percent of all UK new-car purchases within three years and could even make up for as much as 20 percent of new cars by the end of the decade.

It has also been pointed out that the high price of gas and diesel has spurred this interest in electric cars.

When it comes to hybrid vehicles, costumers in theUKfeel they are a reliable and comfortable mode of transport.

Meanwhile, the survey also found that a 30.8% of dealers believe that consumers are non-receptive to EVs. What do you think?
