With the 2012 Paris Motor Show all set to begin, Porsche has unveiled its Panamera Sport Turismo Concept. It aims to be a rival of the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake.
The hybrid badge on the front tells that the Panamera Sport Turismo concept car uses a hybrid drive system. It features an intelligent and efficient drive technology. The e-Sport Turismo is 1,990 mm wide, a low 1,401 mm in height and 4,950 mm long.
The hybrid brings out a sport body concept combining the performance with everyday practicality. The Sport Turismo sports short overhangs, directional indicators, sidelights combined into C-shaped lighting units and a large boot lid.
The vehicle gets 416hp and in pure electric mode and it can reach a speed of up to 130km/h and cover a distance of 30km.
The fuel economy is a combined consumption of less than 3.5 liters per 100km, while the emissions are under 82g/km. The vehicle packs a lithium-ion battery. With its 9.4 kilowatt-hours of energy storage capacity and high peak power makes faster acceleration, longer electric driving range and higher speeds possible, the battery pack looks promising.
You will be able to select the e-charge mode while driving in electric mode by simply pressing the steering wheel button as it will intensify charging of the high-voltage battery.
