The Chevrolet Spark is all ready to welcome a new member into the family. The new born is all electric and will get baptized in 2013. Chevrolet has announced plans to unveil the Spark EV at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Chevy’s smallest car has been a sales success in the automotive world. In order to expand that success, the company is introducing a plug-in electric version of the Spark EV.
The Spark EV will offer consumers the same package that has made the gasoline-powered model. The model was so popular while delivering for its technology and performance.
The company has already assured customers of a lithium-ion battery and an electric motor that produces 114 bhp. The Spark EV will be sold in limited numbers in select US and global markets.
The Spark has charmed the US consumers with its expressive design, roomy interior and MyLink connectivity. Chevrolet will also present an updated version of the MyLink infotainment system that will debut in the 2014 Impala. The system will offer new levels of personalization and more seamless smartphone integration.
In addition to the Spark EV, other Chevrolet vehicles that are on display at the LA Auto Show include the all-new Impala, Malibu Turbo mid-size sedan, Sonic RS small car, Traverse full-size crossover and Camaro Hot Wheels Edition.
