The Detroit Auto Show will begin soon but before the event, we got our eyes on a teaser image of the 2014 Cadillac ELR, the next generation electric vehicle from General Motors. The photo was released by the automaker and shows the vehicle on the road in Southern California. This is the second teaser shot for this vehicle
The specification details of the Cadillac ELR are unknown yet, the only information available tells that it will have an electric motor and will operate mainly on electricity.
But a four-cylinder engine will boost power when the battery is low. Some rumors even suggest an updated version of the Volt’s 16-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack or a more powerful 2.0-liter range-extending engine.
The Cadillac ELR will likely to start its production later this year and will feature the CUE touchscreen control system. The GM Cadillac ELR will be a blend luxury and electrification.
The Cadillac Converj concept car was first unveiled in January 2009 and the first teaser image of the Cadillac ELR had released in mid-December 2012.
We hope to see more about the vehicle at the Detroit Auto Show.
