Search giant Google has been forced to explain that it hasn’t killed donkeys with its Street View Cars. A couple of days ago, disturbing images of how a donkey died after being run over by a Google Street View Car were spotted on its mapping service.
The pictures taken in Botswana provoked animal lovers. The images have triggered intense debates across social media sites, but Google has denied the incident.
According to a Google spokesperson, the company officials revisited the location and found that users had got the chronology of the images the wrong way round. They claimed that the donkey had been lying on a road and was moved aside as the car drove past it.
The spokesman also added that because of the way their 360-degree imagery is put together, it appeared that the car had been involved in killing the animal.
But many people are still not convinced, and they are arguing that the donkey would have killed by the Google’s Street View Car.
