Designed by former BMW/Mini styling boss Gert Volker Hildebrand, this cross Hybrid concept features an innovative hybrid drive system that comes with intelligent control software.

It ensures a seamless transition between petrol-engined front-wheel-drive, electric-motor rear-wheel-drive, and all-wheel-drive modes. The vehicle is yet unnamed but it was designed for both the Chinese and European market.

The company is actually planning three different models of vehicles and the Qoros Hybrid Concept is one among them.

According to Autocar, the other two models are the conventional gas-powered GQ3 sedan and wagon. All three models were now under construction in Changshu, China.

The initial production capacity of the plant is around 150,000 vehicles and this can be expanded to 450,000 if demand increases.

The GQ3 will hit the Chinese market in mid-2013, while the hybrid vehicle is expecting a 2014 release.

Qoros is a joint endeavor between Chinese automaker Chery and an Israeli investment group. Chery is also joined with Jaguar Land Rover to build cars in China.
