Mitsubishi is back grabbing headlines with more info on their new diesel hybrid trucks now filling news space. The company is planning to incorporate concept GR-HEV in a sport truck, and this new rock star will be unveiled at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
Significantly, Mitsubishi is applying this hybrid technology for the first time in pickups. The GR-HEV is powered by a complex power train consisting of a diesel engine and electric motors suited either for light duty or heavy duty trucks.
The concept also includes the development of a four-wheel drive and Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control system which incorporates aspects such as stability and brake force control thereby enabling a smooth drive.
The company will also unveil a next generation electric car operating on the CA-MiEV concept at Geneva. Mitsubishi always believes that electric vehicles are the long-term core products, and this vehicle takes birth from that belief. Mitsubishi aims at boosting the availability of electric cars in rural areas along with urban centers.
They are focusing on the exposure of electric cars in rural roads so as to make them people’s vehicles.
