BMW X1 is a car, SUV, wagon, and truck all rolled into one! The crossover utility vehicle (CUV) from the German automaker has been a huge success around the world since its launch in 2009.
A recent leaked image suggests that BMW could be working on an all-electric version of the X1. The image shows a BMW X1 with a sticker on the side that reads “hybrid test vehicle.” What’s more, it didn’t even seem to have a tailpipe, indicating that it could well be an all-electric version.
Well, this would be just our imagination; still the thought of an all-electric BMW X1 is exciting, isn’t it?
Anyway, those stickers indicate some kind of electrification of the vehicle. It may also be possible that it is the forthcoming gasoline-electric hybrid version of the BMW X1.
We had earlier heard that Lexus is introducing a small hybrid CUV and it is expected to compete with X1. On the other hand,Toyota is teamed up with Tesla to launch RAV4 EV, a tough competitor to the X1.
It seems BMW is warming up ahead of the launch of larger electric vehicles in its eco-friendly i range . What do you think?
