If you are a resident of Britain who would go all out to own a BMW, here’s something that would excite you big time. Latest reports say that BMW UK has roped in a 46-dealer network for its upcoming “i” series.
The i3 in the “i” lineup will go on order from July, while the deliveries would begin around October. The price is rumored around 35,000 GBP in the UK.
As per Ludwig Willisch, the CEO of BMW North America, the new BMW i3 will cost approximately $40,000 in the United States.
The i3 is more likely to be sold as an EV or with a range-extender in a two cylinder form, with an available option of 0.65-liter engine.
In the latter, the auxiliary generator would help charge the battery pack. The 2014 model of the “i” line is expected to be a real gem. It is thought to be set to move up in line to a more interesting i8 supercar, which will boast a three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine and electric motor that spikes a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.8 seconds.
Wondering what the cost would be? The i8 could be yours if you agree to part with approximately 150,000 Euros.
