Honda has just officially unveiled a handful of images of its new Fit Hybrid vehicle along with some information of this forthcoming gas-electric vehicle.
According to the car maker, this third-generation Fit Hybrid has achieved fuel economy ratings of 36.4 kilometers per liter, which is equal to 86 miles per gallon. This marks a 30 percent improvement over the current hybrid version of Fit that sells in Japan.
The images of the new Honda Fit show a sportier and substantial vehicle than the current version. The vehicle is believed to have nicer interior materials, along with the latest connectivity features.
The automaker will include a 1.5-liter, Atkins cycle four-cylinder engine and the i-DCD( dual clutch drive) ’s 22-kilowatt electric motor. The motor is backed by a lithium-ion battery, which is integrated with the power unit.
The automaker has also claimed that it included a new servo brake system and an electric compressor to increases the efficiency of the regenerative braking.
Reports suggest that the production of this Fit Hybrid will start in Mexico next spring.
