Brazil, the world’s largest biofuel producer is getting a real chance to promote its efforts in bio-fuel industry, as the country is hosting the next World Cup Football in 2014. Reportedly, Brazil is introducing bio-diesel buses for transport during the World Cup season.
A Brazilian company named the Biotechnos Projetos Autossustentaveis is currently working on the biofuel project. According to Marcia Werle, company’s chairwoman of the board the company has set up over 40 projects in different host cities.
One of the first biofuel project at Rio de Janeiro provided biodiesel to generators. And these generators were used during the World Youth Journey in July last month.
She also added that, the project is progressing on other cities including Fortaleza, Fortaleza and Belo Horizonte.
The project is also preparing to use buses fueled by 20 percent blend biodiesel produced from recycled oil.
The whole biofuel projects are expected to generate almost 25 million liters of biodiesel that is equal to about 6.6 million gallons.
If it is true, then the visitors and football teams will get the opportunity to travel around the cities in bio-diesel buses, which are offering a cleaner and safer journey.
