Electric car maker Tesla Motors is looking to expand its production facilities all over the globe. Besides planning to start their new production units in US, the company is now looking to start new factories in Asia and Europe.
We hear the car maker is aiming at increasing yearly production and also introduce a smaller and cheaper mass-market electric vehicle.
Tesla’s founder Elon Musk has been quoted as saying that the company will try to find the apt place for building new plants, and the new locations will look at reducing logistics costs of getting the car into the hands of customer.
According to him, in a matter of five years, Tesla will have its mass market electric car on the road. The company is also aiming at launching a more affordable small Tesla electric car.
Planned as Tesla’s third production car, the model will feature a range of about 200 miles, and is expected to sell for as low as $35,000, making it the most affordable one from the company yet.
Reports claim that the name of the new model from the company will be ‘Tesla E’It is expected that the car will be available in the market only after two years.
