West Indies XI: Smith, Gayle, Samuels, Simmons, Bravo, D Ramdin, Sammy, Russell, Narine, Badree and Santokie.
India XI: Rohit Sharma, S Dhawan, SK Raina, Yuvraj Singh, V Kohli, MS Dhoni, R Ashwin, RA Jadeja, A Mishra, B Kumar and Mohammed Shami.
While this is the first match for the West Indies squad, the Indian side seems to be much more in form after they thrashed arch-rivals Pakistan in their first match. India’s first win can be contributed to the batting and bowling squad alike, as they limited the neighbors to just 130 runs.
Amit Mishra, who took 2 wickets in his spell for just 22 runs can be the man of the day for India today too. Sehwag can again be the batting star with the right partnership.
West Indies were the tournament champions in 2012 and have been in decent form. Their confidence is on high as they won the series against England on their home ground.
What may work the team at best is their spin department, which can be used to massive extent on the conditions here. Their batting line is equally in form, so this might be quite an interesting clash. Skipper Darren Sammy will be looking to exploit Sunil Narine to the most for the ground in Mirpur.
Mirpur weather can be a spoiler to an otherwise exciting game as weather forecasts suggest thunderstorms for the day.
