Conditions are good for cricket this afternoon with no chance of any rain. The sunny weather could help the pitch to become drier and thus bringing the spinners into play.

Australia are playing only their second game but they are under pressure to open their account having suffered a shock defeat against Pakistan. West Indies too cannot afford to lose as it is their third match already and so far they have lost against India and won against Bangladesh.

A defeat for either the West Indies or Australia could virtually lower their chances of making it to the Semi Finals.

The Aussies are likely to bring in all-rounder James Faulkner into the XI in the place of Doug Bollinger. West Indies are expected to retain the same XI that beat Bangladesh by a big margin.

Chris Gayle seemed to be carrying a niggle in this tournament but Windies will somehow manage to play him.

The match will depend on how the powerful hitting Aussie batsmen handle the spin attack of Samuel Badree and Sunil Narine and how they treat the little medium pace of Krishmar Santokie.

Australia’s trump card for this match could be the chinaman bowling from Brad Hogg. On paper, the Aussies look like a well packed batting unit while the Windies would heavily depend on its openers – Dwayne Smith and Chris Gayle to do well.
