Their loss against previous champions India and West Indies has been a reason to worry. In their last match against India, Mahmudullah and Anamul Haque were the only players who could cross the 30 mark. All rounder Shakib Al Hasan might be the game changer for the team.

Pakistan, on the other hand, needs to fight well for overall net-run rate to get to the semis. Their first loss against in-form India has been their only dark spot, but they did rebound in the second match against Australia with their star Umar Akmal scoring 94 off just 54 balls.

Watch the Pak innings highlights:

If they win today, they can tally West Indies, who are two points ahead in the group. Their bowlers Umar Gul, Shahid Afridi and Zulfiqar Babar may just take things on their side.

One can easily expect a bombarding performance from Akmal again.

It’s going to be a hot day at Mirpur with highest temperatures around 39 degrees.
