Al Gore, former Vice-President of the United States, has resorted to the example of Winston Churchill in his latest word of warning about global warming. Al Gore, environmental campaigner and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, also won an Oscar for his film titled An Inconvenient Truth – a film that helped bring the grave question of global climate change to a worldwide audience.

The green fringe of the Internet is surely on the grind as we slowly head towards the birth of a new domain — .eco. There shouldn’t be any real problems with the creation of the domain but just like old times, even this name has to go through a process.

It will be the members of the .Eco LLC Group which will promote the domain at the annual conference of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers using a video stating why this domain would be great for the world.
As you know, Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore has been consistently campaigning for the environment, and in the process he has evoked plenty of interest in issues that surround global warming.

Al Gore’s book— An Inconvenient Truth, and the subsequent documentary that was made based on it, has reached out to millions and even won Gore an Academy Award. Now the former US Vice-President is coming up with a sequel of sorts with a new book— Our Choice, slated for release in November this year.
The latest book penned down by Gore is set to come up with the solutions to the problems discussed in the first book and also offer a clear direction as to what we need to do for a greener future. The book goes all out in its effort to promote green by practicing what it preaches.
Our Choice will be printed on 100% recycled paper, has locally produced and sourced editions, uses low VOC inks, and will be carbon neutral. Add to all these the fact that all profits will go towards the Alliance for Climate Protection and it shows Gore’s commitment towards the green cause once again. So will there be another award winning documentary on this one as well? Probably!

I’m a Tony Blair Fan. The man has scruples, faith. He is no dummy for sure. If former PM Blair thinks highly of someone, that person is likely to get my vote as well. Tony Blair gave another former PM, Shinzo Abe of Japan the “Globe Award” for showing international leadership in global environmental issues.
The award was presented at a global warming forum attended by some 100+ legislators from the Group of Eight nations and emerging economies. The ceremony was held in Tokyo.
Who do you think is an international leader in global environmental issues? And, please don’t way Al Gore.
Al Gore, aka, Captain Planet scores no points for coming to the Obama camp AFTER Barack secures the nomination. What’s up with that? Seriously.

“Over the next four years, we are going to face many difficult challenges” including bringing our troops home from Iraq, fixing our economy, and solving the climate crisis“, Al Gore said. “Barack Obama is clearly the candidate best able to solve these problems and bring change to America.”
And Obama replied : “Where were you when I needed you? Where were you when I was in a dog fight with Hillary to win this nomination? Why now?”
Of course, we know why it took Gore so long to choose a candidate. He wanted to be sure he chose a winner. Gore has a rock-star like following in many parts, but will probably won’t score any points for coming forward after the battle which has already been fought.

“Hello”. Tony Blair has become an ambassador for action on climate change in the ‘Breaking the Climate Deadlock’ initiative. Climate change is a serious problem and a new deal is going to be signed when the Kyoto protocol expires. The former prime minister is working with the independent not-for-profit organization The Climate Group. Blair is arriving in Tokyo today and will meet influential business and political people in its “tour” that includes visiting Japan, China and India.
Does it mean that Tony Blair is now in the same group of ecologists that include Al Gore? Even so, I think this is a positive thing, don’t you?
