The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has come up with certain alterations to its Green Guides. The agency released a draft of the changes in October. The organization is also in the midst of accepting suggestions and comments from business firms before finalizing the rules.

Though very little can be done at the moment to reduce emissions, green minded travelers will be able to purchase carbon offsets at the San Francisco airport. The carbon kiosks at the SF airport are the result of a partnership between the city and 3Degrees, an SF based carbon firm.
