First of all, do you know who “The Bunny Butcher” is?

Well, if you thought of Donna Karan, you’re right, because that’s how PETA used to call her.

I’m using past tense, because the famous fashion designer announced that the fall 2009 collection will be fur-free and that future lines will also be fur-free. Even though we’re not fans of what PETA does, it sure sounds like a good direction to be heading to.

We’re genuinely happy because it looks like a great victory for animals, but I’m really skeptical about keeping her hands off fur. Plus, what’s she going to do, use more synthetic fabrics made of petroleum-based fibers?

Meanwhile, congrats to Donna Karan. – via Ecorazzi

PETA is at it again. After demonstrating against bullfights, this time they decided to pick on the most successful designer to come out of Italy, Giorgio Armani. The PETA Angels waved their placards saying “Be an Angel for Animals. Ditch Fur!” just in their underwear. Guess the only thing that kept them warm where those angel wings that probably did miracles.

The result? They turned at least one guy green. He really looks like understanding the cause for which these girls went out naked. Check the pictures below, but be advised that your boss may think they’re not that safe for work.

Polar bears on strike? Protesting the disappearance of the ice around them, asking the world to go green and showing them the way? I am not sure what these green polar bears are thinking, but these fellas at a Japanese zoo in Higashiyama central Japan are creating a ruckus among the Japanese.

Are they sick? Do they have mold? (this one made me laugh out loud.) Moldy polar bears?

High temps and conservation efforts, changing the water less often, caused algae growth in the bear’s bond. So, when they swam, they came out green. The algae goes to hollow spaces in the bear’s fur making it hard to rinse off.

Besides, “I look good in green,” says the papa bear. The color fades in November.

If only it were this easy to get the world to become greener and NOT have it wear off in the winter, eh?
