A naked Argentinian Playboy model, Vanessa Carbone, has got my attention. She was found in the buff, in her birthday suit protesting outside the Japanese Embassy in Chile about whale hunting by the Japanese.

Her placard says – “let them live.” I’d like to say something, too, about what I’d like her to let do with … never mind. Vanessa also wants the Argentinian government to set whale protection zones in its territorial waters.

I may be wrong, but I am betting that the Japanese embassy officials are now busily on the phone to all the whale fishermen in Japan saying “Go! Go! Fish, Catch whales! Don’t worry about the protesters. We’ve got that covered.” Or in this case, uncovered.

Dead serious here – Does Vanessa really really think that by stripping down, she can make a difference? She did get my attention, but I’ll be darn if I can remember why. – via Xinhuanet

The PETA girls are at it again, stripping down naked, well half-naked, to protest bullfights. Somebody has to do it, right? Why not the girls? And, it all depends on which half is naked, huh?

Activists for the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) taped on banderillas, a decorated barbed dart, and lay in front of the European Parliament in Brussels to protest EU tax payers money used for organized bullfights in Spain.

The fellows from the Parliament could be seen rushing out to interview all the girls to be sure that they got the right impression the PETA girls wanted to make.

I eat meat, girls. Would you like to assemble outside my house and protest?

I can think of a couple of hundred reasons to drive a car instead of walk, bike, or inline skate.

Pollution, smution…

In Madrid, Spain, protesters stripped down and rode naked on bicycles to protest against the expansion of automobile use instead of riding a bike.

I’m only seeing the backside in these pix, but from what I do see, I am not that interested in what’s up front.

But, then again, I’d like to get a talking to from some of these protesters.

In the meantime, I am somewhat inclined to keep driving depending on who might ride naked to try and stop me.
