Electric Vehicle Sale Drops to 55 Units in 2009, in the United Kingdom

In 2007, as much as 397 electric vehicles were registered in the United Kingdom, which was considered as the best- selling year. But in 2009 the figure came down to just 55 units which accounts for a 90 percent drop. The reasons behind the setback is not clear, says the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
